1. Introduction
Fijnmechanische Goorsenberg is a leading manufacturer of high-quality components and assemblies for machines, tools and instruments. We maintain a high standard of quality, sustainability and ethical business.
This code of conduct describes the norms and values that we apply within our organization and forms a guideline for acting with integrity and responsibility. We expect both our employees and our suppliers to respect and comply with these standards.
2. Applicability
This Code of Conduct applies to all employees, including directors, management, permanent and temporary employees, interns and freelancers. In addition, this code applies to all our suppliers and their subcontractors.
3. Laws and Regulations
We strictly comply with all applicable Dutch and European laws and regulations, including:
- Employment law: fair working conditions and a safe working environment (Working Conditions Act);
- Privacy legislation: protection of personal data according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR);
- Competition Act: fair competition and no price fixing;
- Anti-corruption: no bribery, fraud or conflict of interest;
- Environmental regulations: responsible use of natural resources and waste.
4. Integrity and ethical conduct
- We act honestly, transparently and respectfully towards customers, colleagues and business partners;
- Conflicts of interest must be avoided and possible conflicts must be reported immediately;
- Gifts or invitations that may affect independence will not be accepted or provided;
- Our suppliers must have a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and bribery.
5. Respect in the workplace
- Discrimination, intimidation and bullying will not be tolerated;
- Privacy and confidentiality of employees and business partners are respected;
- We strive to provide a safe, inclusive and respectful work environment.
6. Sustainability and social responsibility
- We contribute to environmental protection and reduce our ecological footprint;
- Suppliers must comply with environmental legislation and take proactive measures to reduce waste and CO₂ emissions;
- The use of conflict materials is strictly avoided;
- Health and safety in the workplace are essential and should be actively promoted.
7. Data protection and confidentiality
- Company information and personal data are protected according to the GDPR;
- Confidential information must not be shared with unauthorized persons;
- Intellectual property rights are respected and data is only used for legitimate purposes.
- Appropriate measures are needed to prevent cyber threats and data breaches.
8. Supplier Relationships and Responsibility
- Our suppliers must adhere to this Code of Conduct and implement these principles within their supply chain;
- All suppliers must offer fair wages and comply with laws and regulations regarding working hours and working conditions;
- Forced labour and child labour are strictly prohibited;
- Suppliers must establish an effective complaints procedure and protect whistleblowers.
9. Notifications and enforcement
- Employees and suppliers are encouraged to report abuses to their manager or a confidential advisor;
- Abuses can be reported anonymously via the hotline;
- Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including termination of cooperation.
10. Final provision
This code of conduct is evaluated annually and, if necessary, adapted to changing laws, regulations or business circumstances.
